In the gold smuggling case, Ranya Rao—who was earlier arrested—has had her assets seized by Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials in Delhi. Her immovable properties located in Bengaluru and Tumakuru have also been attached. This includes a flat in Arkavathi Layout in Bengaluru, an industrial plot in Tumakuru, and agricultural land in Anekal.
