Following the controversy sparked by his alleged statement claiming that Tipu Sultan laid the foundation stone for the Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) Dam, Karnataka Minister Dr. HC Mahadevappa has issued a clarification. He denied stating that Tipu Sultan built the dam, asserting that the credit for constructing the KRS Dam rightfully belongs to Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar.
A two-judge bench led by Justice Suryakant heard the petition and instructed the State Election Commission to complete the ward delimitation and prepare ward-wise voter lists by November 1, 2025.
