Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the phone, discussing the latest developments in Ukraine and reaffirming India’s stance on peaceful conflict resolution. Both leaders reviewed progress on the bilateral agenda and committed to deepening the India–Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership. Modi also invited Putin to India for the 23rd Annual Summit later this year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, has brought significant revenue to All India Radio (AIR). Launched in 2014, the programme has generated ₹34.13 crore in revenue so far, as reported by the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in the Rajya Sabha.
A substantial increase in gold prices has been observed today. Due to internal changes at the international level, gold prices have surged significantly, causing some disappointment among investors. The price hike during the festive season is particularly noteworthy.
The proposed tariff, which includes a 25% base rate plus an additional 25% penalty, was intended to pressure India over its energy purchases from Russia. This has led to broader concerns about the US risking trade relations not only with India but also with other nations over similar tariff disputes.
