Farmers from BENGALURU VILLAGE in Devanahalli Taluk are staging a sit-in protest to protect their farmland from being seized unlawfully under the guise of various projects. Supporting their cause is former Member of Parliament and actress Ramya, who has highlighted the importance of land conservation and farmers’ rights.

Reports allege that agricultural lands in the area are being illegally acquired for different schemes. Local farmers are responding with a prolonged sit-in protest. Through social media, actress Ramya expressed her solidarity, stating.

Land is like our mother. The fact that farmers are fighting for their rights is truth and justice. I give my full support to this struggle.”

She emphasized that the voice of farmers should become the voice of the nation and urged the government and relevant authorities to take the matter seriously. Ramya’s support has provided comfort and renewed motivation to the farmers.

Today, the farmers have continued their sit-in in front of the Tehsildar office in Channarayapatna since morning, demanding that their grievances be addressed. They are awaiting a clear and fair response from the government.
