Karnataka Government Prepares to Counter Transport Workers' Strike with Robust Measures..!

Employees of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC), and North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) have called for an indefinite strike starting August 5, 2025, to press for their demands, including 38 months of pending salary arrears, new wage revisions, reinstatement of workers dismissed during the 2021 strike, and clearance of provident fund (PF) dues. In response, the Karnataka state government is taking stringent measures to mitigate the impact of the strike and ensure continuity of public transport services.
