In a defamation case, the Special Magistrate Court for Elected Representatives in Karnataka has acquitted BJP MLA V Sunil Kumar of the charges filed against him. The case was initiated by Pramod Muthalik, the national president of Sri Ram Sene, and was heard by Special Magistrate K N Shivakumar. High Court advocate B Vinod Kumar represented V Sunil Kumar during the trial.
Shivakumar further noted that many MLAs from his party also support the religious values of Dharmasthala. He emphasized that the bond between devotees and the divine should not be disrupted. “The Dharmadhikari has been eternally engaged in social and religious service, and I have no doubts about their integrity,” he said.
Recent Developments: Pooja Pal was recently expelled from the Samajwadi Party. The expulsion came after she praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his "zero-tolerance" policy against crime and for "burying" her husband's murderer, Atiq Ahmed. The Samajwadi Party cited "anti-party activities and indiscipline" as the reason for her expulsion.
According to Jaiswal, Pakistan’s recent provocative actions could lead to severe repercussions, and it would be wise for Pakistan to tone down its rhetoric. The MEA also criticized Pakistan for creating an anti-India campaign to mask its own failures. This response comes in the wake of Pakistan’s Army Chief, Asim Munir, issuing nuclear threats against India.
