Road Widening in Bengaluru Impossible, Tunnel Roads Only Solution to Traffic Woes: DK Shivakumar

Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister DK Shivakumar has proposed the construction of tunnel roads as a permanent solution to Bengaluru’s traffic congestion. Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he stated that road widening in Bengaluru is no longer feasible due to the city’s burgeoning population and increasing vehicle numbers, making tunnel roads the only viable solution.
