Shivamogga: As part of the 66th birthday celebrations of former Karnataka Chief Minister, Union Minister, and State JD(S) President H.D. Kumaraswamy, the Shivamogga City JD(S) Committee organized special programs.

Under the presidency of City JD(S) President Deepak Singh and leadership of former MLA and State JD(S) Vice President K.B. Prasanna Kumar, the event began with a special pooja at the city's Sri Kote Marikamba Devi Temple.

Later, the group visited Sri Sharadadevi Andha Vikas Shale (School for the Visually Impaired), where they arranged free meals for the children and distributed fruits and hampers. K.B. Prasanna Kumar cut a cake with the school children and celebrated Kumaraswamy's birthday in a simple manner.
