SSB Apprehends 35 Escaped Nepal Inmates at India-Nepal Border; Number Expected to Rise, Say Officials.

Of the 35 inmates caught so far, 22 were detained along the India-Nepal border in Uttar Pradesh, 10 in Bihar, and three in West Bengal. These arrests stem from multiple jailbreak incidents reported in Nepal, including in districts such as Mahottari, Nawalparasi West, Saptari, and Kathmandu's Dillibazar jail. The escapes, involving over 15,000 inmates across the country, occurred amid chaotic anti-government demonstrations that led to the government's downfall.
